Rulings pertaining to An–Naskh (Abrogation)
"Before you is a short treatise regarding an-Naskh (abrogation) and some rules pertaining to it. The origin of this short treatise is that it is a reply to a request by a dear friend of mine. He came across a Christian caller in Leicester (UK) who was trying to create confusion and doubt amongst the Muslims."

al-Haafidh Ibn Rajab said:
"None of the people of knowledge have ever abandoned or disregarded this. Nor have they laid claim against anyone who refuted their statements that they have defamed them or slandered them or mentioned their shortcomings. Except if the author [the one refuting] is one who uses obscene language and is ill-mannered in his statements. In such case his obscenity and ill manners are rebuked not his refutation and disagreement so that the religious arguments and the significant evidences are established."

Dealing with a neighbour who is from the People of Innovation
Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-`Abbaad said:
"If boycotting him is of benefit to him, then do so; However, in most cases, boycotting a neighbour has no effect [on him]. Rather, boycotting is effective in cases such as a father boycotting his son, the Shaykh boycotting his student or other than them where boycotting may be effective."

"This shows that Eesa (‘alayhi assalaam) and the closest Angels to Allaah crave and desire the worship of Allaah. They loved the worship of Allaah and thus strived to attain it with that which is befitting their [lofty] status. This is why Allaah blessed them with great honour and success."
