"Amongst the deluded are those who think that their obedience is greater than their sins. This is because they do not take themselves into account or count their sins, but they count and remember a form of obedience that they practice, like one who practices Istighfaar with his tongue and glorifies Allaah a hundred times daily, then backbites the Muslims and tears up their reputations, speaks with what Allaah is not pleased with all day."

Entering Kufaar into the Masaajid

The Religious Verdict of the Council of the Major Scholars of Saudi Arabia Concerning the Permissibility of Entering Kuffaar into the Masaajid.

“Calling to Allaah is the way of the messengers and the last of them is Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم. Allaah the Most Mighty and Majestic said:

{Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم ): This is my way, I call to Allaah upon sure knowledge, I and whosoever follows me. And Glorified and Exalted is Allaah (above all that which they associate with Him as partners). And I am not from amongst the Mushrikeen (idolaters and polytheists).}

So the call to Allaah can be to a single individual or to a group of people in the masaajid, and in club organizations, in universities, in schools and in other than these places whereby people congregate. And the call to Allaah is general (for everybody) it is for the kaafir (the non-Muslim), the Faasiq (the rebellious disobedient Muslim), and also for the Mu’min (the true believer).

So as for the disbeliever then it is in order that he will give up his disbelief, and as for the rebellious disobedient Muslim, then it is in order that he will give up his rebelliousness and disobedience to Allaah. And as for the true believer then it is so that he can increase in Eemaan (belief) and insight.

And there is no problem with a non-Muslim entering into the Masjid so long as it is in the interests of the religion , for example, there is a reasonable hope that he may accept or embrace Islaam if he hears the remembrance of Allaah and attends the circles of knowledge, for verily there is an authentic narration upon the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم that he ordered Thumaamah ibn Athaal Al Hanafee to be tied to one of the pillars of his Masjid, and this was when he was a disbeliever, then Allaah guided him to Islaam.

And success is with Allaah and may peace and salutations be upon Muhammad and upon his family and companions.
