Indeed all praise is due to Allaah (alone), we praise Him and seek His assistance and His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allaah from the evil of ourselves and our actions. Whomsoever Allaah guides, none can misguide him, and whomsoever He misguides, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger. May Allaah bless him, his family and companions, and bestow upon them abundant peace. To proceed...

Indeed, the website "Madeenah.com" is from amongst the beneficial and distinguished Salafi sites. I have been aware of this site since the time it was an idea proposed by some Salafi students of knowledge from the West who were studying at the Islaamic University of Madeenah. The one who setup the website, Mohammed Akhtar (may Allaah grant him success), reminded me of their desire and determination to create a site that focuses on propagating the Salafi da'wah and beneficial knowledge. It was also intended to be a platform from the platforms of guidance and explaining and defending the Sunnah while adopting a moderate and balanced approach; And all Praise is due to Allaah (alone), for this has now been achieved as they hoped for and desired.

From this standpoint, the brothers administrating the site (may Allah grant them success) have taken great care in referring back to the people of knowledge and taking [benefit from] their opinions. They started off by getting recommendations from some of the mashaayikh for this project of theirs as well as their encouragement to them to continue working to see it come to fruition. The brothers then began to collect knowledge-based material from books, theses, statements and legal rulings of the Salafi imaams and the scholars. This information was then categorised and translated into English. From this act of theirs, after the launch of the site, great benefit and good has been achieved, especially in Western nations as many of the Muslims there visited this website and greatly benefited from it; And [all] this is from the success (tawfeeq) that Allaah granted, and thereafter their reliance upon [using authentic] knowledge-based material and their firm connection [those responsible for the website] with knowledge and its people (the scholars).

And truth be told, I do not know of a Salafi website like it, presenting [the reader] with material simultaneously published in two languages - English and Arabic.

The site pays special attention to [issues pertaining to] tawheed, matters of 'aqeedah, clarification of the Salafi manhaj, refuting the callers to shirk, sufism, partisanship, and all of the people of desires and misguidance, as well as the callers to extremism and excessiveness. Likewise, it calls to a moderate manhaj, it refutes the khawaarij and the extremists, and helps people understand matters of their religion. In addition, the site distinguishes itself by referring to the people of knowledge regarding that which they circulate and publish on the internet. Along with this, they welcome the sincere advice of the advisor, whereby they have created a channel of communication via which they are able to contact and connect with them (the brothers responsible for the website).

The website's administrators expressed their desire to have me supervise the site, which I accepted and am delighted by, despite my many other commitments and responsibilities.

In closing, I ask Allaah to make this website beneficial, to reward those responsible for it the best of rewards, bless their efforts, and to render their actions sincerely for Him, for [indeed] He is the Expounder of all success and the One who provides assistance.
