Question: Is Hajj obligatory upon the disabled (incapacitated) or not?
Response: Whoever is able to perform the hajj with his wealth, but is unable to physically undertake the hajj due to a persistent [physically] prohibiting factor, then he is required to appoint someone to perform the obligatory hajj on his behalf - with the condition that the appointee has already performed hajj for himself.
