From amongst the causes [of differing]: Fanaticism, being fanatical to a specific group, being fanatical to a specific individual, or being fanatical to a specific opinion.
Is there reward in attending the funeral procession of someone that commits acts of shirk and innovation?
For me, the matter is clear and I know that he is an innovator, but I do not boycott my brothers because of him or because his affair is not clear to them.
The rabbani scholar does not call [the people] to make taqdees of him and does not call them to be attached to him.
My mother seeks help from the dead and worships other than Allah in other ways as well. I continue to advise her but my efforts appear to be in vain.
But we have boycotted them and separated ourselves from them for over seven years because they did not declare this person and that person to be innovators.
