All praise is for Allaah, Lord of the Universe. May peace and blessings be upon the one who was sent as a mercy to all of mankind.
To proceed:
A series of articles have recently been published by certain malicious websites defaming Madeenah.com in addition to the students of knowledge who contribute to it. Those responsible for these articles have proliferated them with lies and slander as well as attempts to reach conclusions based upon inadequate and twisted evidence.
Those responsible for these websites have made many claims and allegations that in reality have no basis to them; rather they are mere statements of delusion based upon weak and unfounded arguments. Along with this, they have judged the intentions [of those students involved with Madeenah.com], such as their claim that the objective behind establishing the website was to attack Salafi Publications, [1] that their agenda is to bring Salafi Publications down at all costs, [2] that they try to exploit the scholars to fulfill their hate-filled agenda, [3] and that they are not sincere in their intentions and actions. [4] No doubt, these are false claims that contain evil accusations about one’s intentions and objectives, all of which have been forbidden in the noble Sharee’ah.
In fact, they went as far as attributing to the students of knowledge who contribute to the website heinous statements of defamation without any clear proof or evidence, such as saying that they are mischief makers, [5] treacherous, [6] deceptive, [7] that they play politics with the Scholars in a manner characteristic of al-Ikhwan al-Muslimeen [8] and other than that from false and heinous descriptions in the name of sincere advice and refutation.
It is unfortunate that all of this has resulted in preoccupying the people with matters that do not benefit them, and in wasting time with gossip and hearsay.
I therefore felt it was appropriate to write this brief note with the intention of offering sincere advice, establishing the truth and removing the falsehood, hoping that Allaah will cause it to be of benefit.
In relation to the articles that have been written and published on Madeenah.com by the noble brothers Nadir Ahmed, Tahir Wyatt and Mohammed Akhtar, this was only done after having been summarized and read to me before being distributed. I then granted them permission to publish the articles in order to defend the website and uphold the truth. These articles contain in them a defense against the claim that Madeenah.com ‘attacks The Salafees.’
They – may Allaah bless them – made clear that no particular group or organization has a monopoly upon Salafiyyah. This is a problem that people in many countries complain about and not one restricted to America, Canada or Britain. The brothers also explained that to clarify a mistake and transmit sincere advice from the scholars should not be made out to be ‘an attack.’ As a result of these articles, the false claims levied against the website have become clear.
The articles that the brothers wrote (may Allaah bless them) included within them a number of requests to those who were making such claims; the essence of them being to provide evidence that this website (Madeenah.com) ‘attacks The Salafees.’ [The accusers] replied by writing a number of flimsy refutations that were void of any substantial answer.
Since they were unable to produce a knowledge-based reply, they resorted to false allegations, slander, judging one’s intentions and attempting to reach conclusions that lack evidence. Even [some] of the people of knowledge and virtue were not saved from their criticism, as they accused Shaykh Waseeullah Abbaas (may Allaah preserve him) of not being prepared to accept the truth from them and that his opposition to Salafi Publications is due to his affinity for Jami’yyah Ahl al-Hadeeth, [9] along with other false accusations and evil thoughts.
They then exceeded even this by raising doubt about whether or not “Shaykh Khaalid” really knows what’s happening on the website, [10] further claiming that the website promotes innovators, hizbis, Ikhwaanees, and Takfeerees [11] without the Shaykh being aware, and that it shows leniency, gentleness, and a close relationship towards them whilst being harsh against the Salafees. [12]
Upon what basis have these people ruled that “Shaykh Khaalid” is unaware of what happens on the website? Does he not read what is [published] on the website even though the overwhelming majority of it is [also available] in Arabic?! And where is the evidence that the website promotes innovators, hizbis, Ikhwaanees, and Takfeerees?!
{Say: bring forth your evidences if you are truthful} [13]
And how could they possibly bring any evidence?!
Do they realize that their claim that the website promotes the people of innovation contains a malicious insult upon the Mashayikh and scholars who have praised and recommended the website accusing them of being ignorant, negligent and naïve? Are these the manners that are shown to the People of Knowledge & Virtue?!
To Allaah is the complaint.
On top of this, they have accused their brothers of that which they did not say. They mentioned repeatedly that the brothers are attacking The Salafis under the banner of refuting the opposer (ar-radd alaa al-mukhaalif)[14]. However, the reality is contrary to what they have said. This term ‘refuting the opposer’ has never been mentioned at all by the brothers in their writings; in fact they never even wrote a ‘refutation’, rather they only sought to defend the website from what was falsely and deceptively attributed to it.
This is an example of the lies and slanders that were written by the one who shamelessly writes on ‘Salafi Publications’ website. It is hoped that this individual reveals his name, since we do not believe that everyone who cooperates with Salafi Publications resorts to these deceitful and treacherous methods. We would hope that Salafi Publications free themselves – and they should – if, in fact, a particular individual is using their name to spread these lies and false claims.
The reality is that these people are unable to author a proper reply and hence have resorted to causing turmoil amongst people; they try to defame the Salafee students of knowledge who are graduates from the University [of Madeenah] through means of slander and mockery. [15]
They also accuse them of not understanding the methodology of the Salaf, in fact not even valuing it even though they have spent many years in the University. [16]
No doubt, the graduates of the University who left behind their families and their countries in order to traverse the path of seeking knowledge have a status that should be held in high esteem, respected and preserved. I therefore encourage the Muslims in the West to benefit from them and not allow this commotion and defamation from Salafi Publications to be a barrier that prevents them from benefitting from them [the graduates] and maintaining contact with them.
Also, there are some important points and guidelines that I wish to emphasize with regards to those who translate for [Madeenah.com] so that everyone may be aware of them. From amongst them:
1. It is a condition that the translator is a graduate from the Islamic University of Madeenah.
2. The one who is currently studying at the University, or did not complete his studies therein, will only have his translated works accepted after they have been checked by a graduate.
3. The name, country, address and faculty of study of the translator must be known at the time of his participation with the website. No one unknown or anonymous is allowed to translate on the site.
4. If a translator falls into error and makes mistakes, this does not necessitate that his translation is removed or censured.
5. An emphasis that the website is not responsible whatsoever for statements and actions specific to any particular translator. Rather the avenue of sincere advice remains open if it is indeed established that he has made a mistake deserving of admonition. Thus, it is totally incorrect that the website or the rest of the translators are held responsible for activities specific to a particular translator. Madeenah.com is only responsible for that which is published on the website.
We would also like to point out that our website does not have any connection to Jami’yyah Ahl al-Hadeeth, Jami’yyah Ihya at-Turaath nor any other organization, establishment or Jami’yyah; we do not defend any of them at all. Refer to what we said some years ago. [17]
The allegations of Salafi Publications that we defend these organizations is a lie which has no truth to it. [18] Their pathetic efforts to link [Madeenah.com] to Jami’yyah Ahl al-Hadeeth because of a particular translator delivering a lecture with someone else who delivers lectures in a Masjid connected to the Jami’yyah, or other forms of inadequate proof, is simply a futile attempt to link together that which is not connected.
Our speech regarding the Jami’yyah is clear and has been present on the website for six years. So these brothers should fear Allaah with regards to their brothers and their Mashayikh, and let them leave alone these treacherous, deceptive methods.
In conclusion, we would like to offer advice for everybody and remind them of the following:
1. To maintain manners and knowledge when advising. The scholars are not free from falling into mistakes, and students of knowledge are even more prone to this. However sincere advice should be given in the correct prescribed manners, based upon evidences and proofs, not based upon suspicion and questioning people’s intentions and the spreading of lies.
I remind them of the statement of the Prophet (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) to Usaamah bin Zayd (may Allaah be pleased with them both) when he killed a man he thought had only proclaimed ‘Laa ilaaha illa Allaah’ due to his fear of being killed. The Prophet (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said to him:
Did you split open his heart to find out whether he truly meant what he said or not?
2. To be distant from suspicion, false doubts, tracking people’s mistakes and falsely accusing brothers with lies and accusations. I remind you of the statement of the Messenger of Allaah (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam):
O community of people, who have believed by their tongue, and belief has not entered their hearts; do not backbite Muslims, and do not search for their faults, for if anyone searches for their faults, Allaah will search for his fault, and if Allaah searches for the fault of anyone, He [will] disgrace him [even] in his own home.
3. To attach importance to knowledge and to that which benefits one in his religious and worldly affairs. Indeed the Prophet (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
Concentrate on those matters that will benefit you, and seek Allaah’s assistance.
And the Prophet (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) also said:
From the goodness of a person’s Islam is to leave alone that which does not concern him.
4. To distance yourselves from insults, curses and vulgar speech. Indeed the Prophet (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) forbade from this and he said:
The believer is not one who slanders, curses, or speaks in an obscene or foul manner.
He (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) also said:
To insult a Muslim is disobedience, and to kill him is disbelief.
5. We also remind them of what we have repeatedly stated: whoever has any observations regarding the contents of the website then let him send them to us, and we will accept and welcome them with an open heart. We only stipulate that the observations are based upon clear evidence and not suspicion and doubt, nor false impositions.
May Allaah guide us all to that which He loves and is pleased with Our last call is that all praise is for Allaah the Lord of the Universe

الـمشرف العام على الـموقع يكشف ويوضح حقيقة أقوال بعض الـمغرضين
الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على المبعوث رحمة للعالمين . وبعد :
فقد صدرت من بعض المواقع المغرضة سلسلة مقالات تطعن في موقع ((madeenah.com)) وفي طلبة العلم المشاركين فيه؛ بالكذب والبهتان ومحاولة الإلزام بما لا يلزم . وقد أكْثَرَ فيها أصحابها من الدعاوى والمزاعم التي لم تستند إلى أدلة، بل إلى أوهام وحجج واهية مع الطعن في المقاصد والنيات كادِّعائهم أنَّ سبب تأسيس الموقع الهجوم على المكتبة السلفية(1)، وأن أصحابه يحرصون على إسقاط المكتبة بأي ثمن كان(2)، وأنهم يحاولون استغلال المشايخ في أجندتهم البغيضة(3)، وأنهم غير صادقين في نياتهم وأعمالهم(4).
ولا ريب أن ذلك من الاتهام بالباطل والطعن في المقصد والنية الذي نهى عنه شرعنا الكريم . بل تجاوزوا ذلك فوصفوا طلبة العلم المشاركين في الموقع بأوصاف قبيحة شنيعة دون حجة أو دليل جلي، كقولهم: إنهم مفسدون(5)، وخونة(6)، وملبسون(7)، وأنَّهم يستخدمون السياسة مع العلماء بطريقة تشبه الإخوان المسلمين(8) وغير ذلك من الأوصاف الباطلة والشنيعة بزعم الرد والنصح !
ومما يؤسف له أنه قد أدّى هذا إلى انشغال الناس بما لا ينفعهم وضياع الوقت بالقيل والقال، فرأيت من باب النصيحة وبيان الحق وكشفًا للزيف كتابة هذه الكلمة الوجيزة عسى الله أن ينفع بها . وأما ما يتعلق بما كتبه الإخوة الفضلاء – نادر أحمد، وطاهر وايت، ومحمد أختر – من مقالات قاموا بنشرها على موقع ((madeenah.com)) فقد تمت قراءة ملخصها علي قبل نشرها وأذنت في نشرها دفاعاً عن الموقع وانتصاراً للحق،
وفيها بيان لدفع ما قيل عن الموقع من أنه يهاجم السلفيين، فبينوا – بارك الله فيهم – أن السلفية ليست حكراً على جماعة وفئة بعينها – وهذه مشكلة يشكو منها إخوة في كثير من البلدان ولا تختص بأمريكا ولا كندا ولا بريطانيا – كما وضحوا أن بيان الأخطاء وتوجيه النصيحة من قبل المشايخ لا يسمّى هجوماً . وبذلك اتضح بطلان هذه الدعوى ضد الموقع، وقد تضمن ما كتبه الإخوة – بارك الله فيهم – أسئلةً موجهةً إلى هؤلاء المدعين، خلاصتها أن يأتوا بدليلهم على أن الموقع يهاجم السلفيين، فكتبوا عدة ردود ركيكة هزيلة عارية عن الجواب وطلب الحق .
فلمّا عجزوا عن الرد العلمي لجئوا إلى الاتهام بالباطل والبهتان والطعن في النوايا والإلزام بما لا يلزم، بل ولم يسلم منهم أهل العلم والفضل، فاتهموا الشيخ وصي الله عباس – حفظه الله – بأنه لم يكن على استعداد لقبول الحق منهم وأنه إنما اتخذ موقفاً ضد المكتبة السلفية لغلوه في محبة جمعية أهل الحديث(9) وغير ذلك من التهم الباطلة والظنون الفاسدة، بل زادوا على ذلك فشككوا في معرفة “الشيخ خالد” لما يحتويه الموقع(10)، وزعموا أن الموقع يروِّج للمبتدعة والحزبيين والإخوانيين والتكفيرين(11) – دون معرفة الشيخ – ويُظهر اللين والرفق والتقرب منهم بينما الشدة والعداوة مع السلفيين!(12). فمن أين لهؤلاء أنَّ “الشيخ خالداً” لا يدري ما في الموقع؟!
هل هو لا يقرأ ما في الموقع مع أن جُلَّ ما فيه باللغة العربية؟ وأين الدليل على أن الموقع يروِّج للمبتدعة والحزبيين والإخوانيين والتكفيرين؟!
{قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ}
وأنى لهم ذلك ! وهل يعلمون أن في قولهم: ((إن الموقع يروج لأهل البدع)) طعناً خبيثاً في المشايخ والعلماء المزكين للموقع واتهاماً لهم بالغفلة والسذاجة؟ أَوَ هكذا يكون الأدب مع أهل العلم والفضل؟! فإلى الله الشكوى !! ثم إنهم قوّلوا إخوانهم ما لم يقولوا فكرروا مراراً أنهم يهاجمون السلفيين تحت راية ((الرد على المخالف))(13)، والواقع يكذِّبهم فإنه لم تُذكَر عبارة ((الرد على المخالف)) إطلاقاً فيما كتبوه، بل لم يكتبوا رداً أصلاً وإنما دفعوا ما نُسب إلى الموقع باطلاً وزوراً .
فهذا من أمثلة الكذب والبهتان الذي لا يتورع عنه من يكتب في موقع (المكتبة السلفية!)، فليت هذا الكاتب يكشف عن اسمه، فإننا لا نظن أن كلَّ من يتعاون مع هذه المكتبة يلجأ إلى هذه الأساليب الخبيثة الفاجرة، وليت المكتبة تبرئ نفسها – وينبغي عليها – إن كان أحد أفرادها استغل اسمها في نشر هذه الدعاوى والأكاذيب !! والحقيقة أن هؤلاء عاجزون عن الإجابة ولهذا صاروا يشغبون على الناس، وينالون من مكانة طلبة العلم السلفيين خريجي الجامعة باللمز والغمز والهمز(14)، واتهامهم بعدم فهم المنهج السلفي وعدم المبالاة به أصلاً بالرغم من دراستهم في الجامعة سنوات طويلة(15)
، ولا ريب أن لخريجي الجامعة الذين فارقوا الأهل والبلاد في سبيل طلب العلم لهم مكانة ينبغي احترامها وتقديرها وحفظها، وأحث المسلمين في الغرب أن يستفيدوا منهم وأن لا يكون هذا التشغيب ومحاولة التشويه من قبل المكتبة السلفية صادًا ومانعاً لهم من الانتفاع منهم والاتصال بهم . ثم إن هناك ضوابط مهمة تتعلق بالقائمين بالترجمة في الموقع، أود الإشارة إليها ليعلمها الجميع، ومنها :
1) يشترط أن يكون المترجم من خريجي الجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة النبوية
2) من يدرس في الجامعة حالياً ولم يتخرج بعد، أو درس ولم يكمل دراسته، إنما تقبل ترجمته بعد مراجعة أحد الخريجين لما ترجم
3) أن المترجم معروفٌ اسمه وبلده وعنوانه وجهة دراسته إبان مشاركته في الموقع، ولا يَكتب في الموقع المجاهيل والنكرات
4) لا يلزم من وقوع المترجم فيما بعد في أمور لا يوافق عليها إلغاء ما قد ترجمه ولا الطعن في ترجمته
5) التأكيد على أن ما يصدر من أقوال أو أفعال خاصة ببعض المترجمين لا يحتمله الموقع لا من قريب ولا من بعيد، ولكن يبقى باب النصح مفتوحاً إن ثبت وقوعه في ما يؤاخذ عليه، ولا يصح البتة إلزام الموقع أو المترجمين له بما قد يفعله أفراد المترجمين في أنشطتهم وأعمالهم الخاصة بهم، وإنما الموقع مسئول عن ما ينشر فيه فحسب ! ث
م نشير إلى أن موقعنا لا صلة له البتة بجمعية أهل الحديث، ولا جمعية إحياء التراث ولا غيرهما من المؤسسات أو المراكز أو الجمعيات، ولا ندافع عنهم إطلاقاً، وراجع ما قلنا قبل عدة سنوات في الرابط التالي : https://madeenah.com/article.cfm?id=1075 فما زعمته المكتبة السلفية من دفاعنا عنهم كذب لا حقيقة له(16)، ومحاولتهم البائسة بربط الموقع بجمعية أهل الحديث لكون مترجم ما ألقى محاضرة مع شخص آخر يلقي محاضرات في مسجد الجمعية أو غير ذلك من الحجج الواهية إنما هو تسلسلٌ باطل وإلزامٌ بما لا يلزم، خاصة وكلامنا الصريح في الجمعية موجود في الموقع منذ ست سنوات، فليتق الله هؤلاء في إخوانهم ومشايخهم وليتركوا هذه الأساليب الخبيثة الماكرة . وفي الختام نود النصح للجميع وتذكيرهم بما يأتي :
1) التزام الأدب والعلم في النصيحة، فالعلماء ليسوا بمعصومين عن الخطأ فضلاً عن طلبة العلم، لكن النصيحة تكون بالطرق المشروعة القائمة على الحجة والدليل لا بالظنون والطعن في النوايا وتلقف الأكاذيب، وأذكرهم بقول النبي صلى الهم عليه و سلم لأسامة بن زيد لما قتل ذاك الرجل الذي ظنه قال لا إله إلا الله خوفاً من السلاح، فقال له النبي صلى الهر عليه و سلم: ((أفلا شققت عن قلبه حتى تعلم من أجل ذلك قالها أم لا))(17)
2) البعد عن الظنون والأوهام الكاذبة، وتتبع العورات، وقذف إخوانهم بالكذب والبهتان، وأذكرهم بقول النبي صلى الهت عليه و سلم: ((يا معشر من آمن بلسانه ولم يدخل الإيمان قلبه، لا تغتابوا المسلمين ولا تتبعوا عوراتهم، فإنه من اتبع عوراتهم يتبع الله عورته، ومن يتبع الله عورته يفضحه في بيته))(18)
3) الحرص على العلم وبما يفيد الإنسان في دينه ودنياه، فقد قال النبي صلى اله عليه و سلم: ((احرص على ما ينفعك واستعن بالله))(19)، وقال صلى اله عليه و سلم: ((من حسن إسلام المرء تركه ما لا يعنيه))(20)
4) البعد عن الشتائم، والسباب، والكلام القبيح، فإن النبي صلى اله عليه و سلم نهى عن ذلك وقال: ((ليس المؤمن بالطعان ولا اللعان ولا الفاحش ولا البذيء))(21)، وقال أيضاً: ((سباب المسلم فسوق وقتاله كفر))(22)
